From: Abigail Ann Davis <guin@red-bean.com> 0. How (that is, by whom) did you join Red Bean, and approximately when? Who in Red Bean knows you in real life, so we could ask them if you suddenly appear to disappear? 0. I got my account because I was living with Noel because Robin and I were in grad school together and ended up living together not too long after Noel moved out here to Santa Barbara. Well, now Noel is gone but his memory lives on in our accounts. 1. Do you use Red Bean as your primary email address and/or primary Web server (i.e., is your home page here)? 1. I use red-bean as my primary account at home: I also have one at work, adavis@suptech.com, which I check more frequently during the week. Most of my mail goes through there, including a lot of personal mail, but I like to have the red-bean account specifically because it won't change when I move or change jobs, though my access to it may. 2. Do you know anything about Unix system administration? Programming? Tell everything about you and computers... :-) 2. "I see nothink..." Seriously, I know very little. I am solidly in the computer user class: I know how to do things like change background colors in my primary OS, which is Windows, and I know the very basics of other systems, including Unix. That's it. Also, though it irks me to impose on others to set up my own account, the truth is that I would rather it weren't necessary for me to fool with that layer ever at all. 3. Anything else about yourself you'd like made known? Put it here, anything goes. 3. I'm a techie, I swear I am... a wireless communications engineer by trade. But I'm not at all a hacker by personality or inclination. There are lots of other cool things about me too, that have nothing to do with email. 4. Optional information: what's your snail address and phone, in case something goes down and we need to reach you that way? (This information will not be published on the Web unless you specifically grant permission.) 4. Snail mail and phone, which you are welcome to disseminate: 6244 Aberdeen Ave. Goleta, CA 93117-2002; 805-964-1892 also, the other email address: adavis@suptech.com 5. Do you play bagpipes? 5. Well, as I have never tried, I cannot in all honesty say that I am unable to produce a sound from bagpipes. However, I am certain that I couldn't produce any sound that could be classified as music. (Between being totally unexperienced, nearly tone-deaf, and, well, the intrinsic limitations of the instrument, I give that a 98% certainty level.)
